A boat named 'Coccium', a Wiganers?
A boat named 'Coccium', a Wiganers?
Coccium is the Roman name for Wigan. I wonder if this boat was named by a proud Wiganer?

Do they not have a boat register where you could find out Brian

I broke down at the south side of Preston Brook Tunnel in 2010, no hope of recovery. I put a sign out "I need a tow, can you help" and the 1st passing boat was Coccium and the owner (Sorry, forgot his name) and his wife, without a second thought towed my 20tonne 60 footer all the way to Orchard Marina at Rudheath with their 1000cc air cooled boat. Absolute hero's in my eyes. I am still so pleased and thankful when I see Coccium out on the cut or at a lock. Paddy Reilly - Lady Margaret
