Lancaster to Tewitfield
Much later than anticipated, we've completed our walk along the Lancaster Canal.

We had a great day, one of the best walks yet.

You can view the photos and read about the latest walk, feel free to leave a comment against any of the photos.

Hi, just found your website after walking on the canal at Lancaster today! I've been on it most days! Living close to the aquaduct. Im lucky! Your photographs and captions are great!
I googled 'How long is Lamcaster Canal from Beaumont to the Aquaduct?' I was just wondering!
Anyway since your walk, the stretch of towpath from Carnforth has been and is being tarmac ed like the rest of it!

I'm impressed I'm the first one to comment! Fabulous blog/site :-)

your walks got me & my husband into the Lancaster canal and we have now done it all up to Tewitfield. It would have been really great if you'd carried on to Kendal as it makes it so easy to follow looking at your photo's. We are going to try and follow the route to Kendal but can't find a detailed route
